STEM Industry Volunteers Sign Up Form
On an annual basis, we provide 100+ free Robotics & Drone workshops to underserved communities in STEAM. We partner with afterschool programs based at the Boys & Girls clubs, Native Indigenous communities, ICAN, Girl Scouts, Title 1 schools, & other nonprofits to provide STEAM career exploration programs, Coding, Robotics, Drones, AI, STEAM badges for Girl Scouts, App development, CAD, 3D printing, and Sustainability education programs. Our nonprofit does not have paid staff members. Our programs are driven by volunteers who are passionate about giving back. In just 30 minutes, you can inspire and empower the next generation by joining as a Guest Speaker. No prior experience is necessary to join as a Guest Speaker or to Coach and Mentor our Robotics / Drone Teams. Please join us and make a difference!
FAQ
1. What is the volunteer time commitment needed to support your programs?
- To join as a Guest Speaker, 30 minutes commitment for presenting via Zoom + couple of hours to prepare your presentation slides.
- To join as a Coach & Mentor for any of our LEGO robotics teams, LEGO robotics curriculum requires a minimum of 30 hours of instructions per team. The curriculum is designed by FIRST LEGO LEAGUE. Students learn to design and code their robots, research projects and innovate a novel solution. Volunteering can be done through Zoom or on-site at one of our program locations (pdf) shown below. This is an afterschool program, held after 4pm weekdays and on weekends. The robotics program runs August through January typically (5-6 months) each year. It varies by location. We train all our coaches/mentors. No prior experience is needed. Currently we have 50+ team locations.
- To join as a Coach & Mentor to any of our Drone teams, Competitive Drone curriculum requires a minimum of 25 hours of instructions per team. Students learn to code their drones and learn to solve challenges. This is also an afterschool program. We train all our coaches & mentors. No prior experience is needed. The Drone program runs January through June (5-6 months) each year.

3. Where are your onsite programs located and where do you need volunteers help?
Our robotics program locations in the US & demographics (pdf) are shown below. We have volunteers supporting our programs in the Chandler location in Arizona. However, outside of this location, we do not have volunteers’ support. All afterschool programs outside of the Chandler area, from Flagstaff to Tucson, are supported by our cofounders on the weekends. We travel most weekends to deliver our programs! We appreciate any support!
4. When are your virtual programs for girls & girl scouts held?
Programs for girls & Girl Scouts are held monthly on 2nd & 3rd Saturdays of each month. Some are virtual and some are on-site. We host 5-6 workshops for Robotics badges, Automotive badges, Coding AI, App building badges and other STEAM badges. Girl Scouts from across the US join our programs virtually. 5. How much do your programs cost? How do I donate to your work?
Our programs cost approximately $1000 -$1200 per location each year. Donations can be made via our “Donate” page. Thank you.
