STEM Ambassadors / SWEnext

Our STEM Ambassadors /SWEnexters are students from our programs who connect with industry mentors, learn new technologies, and teach younger students joining our programs. Please sign up via “Register” button or check out our “Programs” page for more info to join this program. During summer, these students have held more than 100 robot coding events & supported virtual programs for kids based in the US and around the world.

Veronica graduated from Xavier College Prep high school, Phoenix. She has been a youth mentor for our FLL robotics team based at Scottsdale Boys & Girls clubs for the past 3 years, leading the team to State two years in a row!. She is currently enrolled in Southern Methodist University and majoring in computer science.

Monique has been on our Change Makers Makeathons and Hacathon programs for many years. Monique is currently enrolled in University of Arizona for Biomedical Engineering and supports our STEM out reach events.

Alejandra has been a youth mentor for our FLL robotics team based at the North Tempe Boys & Girls club in Tempe, for past 3 years. The rookie FLL team qualified for State this year! Alex is currently pursuing Forensic Sciences at Grand Canyon University, Phoenix.

Josh is passionate about STEM and robotics. He is an alumnus of our robotics programs (FLL, FTC) as well as Change Maker Makeathons & Hackathons. Josh has led his teams to win several awards. He is currently enrolled at Arizona State University, majoring in Computer Science and supports our outreach events.

Joyce is a Computer Science major in India and is currently working on her teaching degree. She loves coding, STEM and passionately teaches our robotics curriculum to children in South India.

Mercy is a literature student in India and passionately supports web design and maintenance for our nonprofit.

For past two years, Akshara has been a youth mentor for our Phoenix & Scottsdale based boys & girls clubs robotics teams, helping qualify their teams for state level. She is passionate about caring for wild life and creating apps to protect animals and wild life. Akshara is currently enrolled in ASU majoring in Biology programs.

Elaina is the cofounder of Education Empowers Inc, our nonprofit. She loves technology and teaches robotics to Girls Scouts and our "Train the Trainer" program for new volunteers joining our team. She is currently enrolled at Arizona State University, majoring in Electrical Engineering.

A Computer Science graduate, student facilitator having about 10 years of experience in CBSE schools. An A. I (Artificial Intelligence) enthusiast, keeps herself updated with the latest technologies. She carries out Virtual Robotic programs with her sister Roshan, in India for Tribal and Underprivileged children of The Nilgiris District along with few other rural districts of South India.

Advait Rajan is a student at Arizona State University majoring in Bio-Medical Engineering. He has been in robotics programs for many years and has been part of our award winning LEGO team. He has been a youth mentor supporting our LEGO teams based in Chandler Boys & Girls clubs.

Tara Nukala

I am currently a Freshman at Arizona College Preparatory High. I have been in FLL for over 6 years, competing in states twice. I love to brainstorm solutions that correlate to the theme every year, allowing me to connect with my fellow peers. Understanding how to approach a problem, and how to solve it, has had a tremendous impact on my way of thinking. I have also volunteered to teach the Boys and Girls clubs before, and hope to continue to pursue that.

Nicole has been on our STEM-Robotics programs as well as the Change Maker programs for many years. Nicole is currently a high school student in Arizona and supports our STEM out reach events, mentors FLL programs at various Boys & Girls clubs, plans to lead virtual coding programs and organizing thank-you cards for frontline workers during COVID-19.

Brooke has been in FLL robotics program for last 4 years, and is passionate about LEGO robotics and coding. Her STEM story has been featured in local newspapers (Inthezona). Brooke also volunteers with Education Empowers, at our STEM outreach events, afterschool robtoics programs at local Boys and Girls Clubs and plans to lead our virtual coding programs this year.

Camryn recently began to spark an interest for STEM and robotics in her high school years. She is currently a high school senior attending Paradise Honors High School. Participating in the STEM robotics and coding program as a youth mentor with Education Empowers (nonprofit) and the Boys and Girls Clubs, as well as other STEM programs she is passionate about!

Saba has been in FLL team for last 4 years, participating from Animal Allies to City Shapers. Saba likes working with a team to build and design a robot as well as programming missions and keeping the team spirit. Saba also volunteers with Education Empowers, at different STEM events, train the trainer sessions, and the Boys and Girls Club.

Aryan has been a youth mentor for our FLL robotics team based at Chandler YMCA, leading the team to State two years in a row! Aryan is also a team lead for our Maker clubs and for Change Maker Makeathons. Aryan brings in his passion for computers and generously teaches new team members and younger students. He spends more than 60 hours per year, volunteering with us.

Connor has been in our FLL robotics team for the past 4 years. His team has won several regional level awards and qualified for state. Connor loves to build innovative robots designs as well as programming robot missions. Connor also volunteers with our nonprofit, and has been a youth mentor for Mesa Grantwood boys & girls club robotics teams in Mesa Arizona. He has mentored more than 100 kids in Mesa neighbourhood.

Diya is a rising junior at Basis Ahwatukee and has been participating in Robotics programs as well as Change Maker Programs.She has been a youth mentor for FLL programs at different boys and girls clubs and plans to lead virtual coding sessions this summer.She is excited to take part in more outreach activities and competitions this year.

Catherine is currently a junior at Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix. She loves to volunteer for different programs that educate young kids and teens in the field of STEM. She started an Engineering Project in Community Service, with 5 other girls from her school, that helped to provide masks to those on the Navajo Reservation. Catherine has enjoyed teaching coding for Education Empowers students this summer and hopes to continue teaching this fall. Education Empowers Inc. has taught her a lot about leadership skills, and how to help educate others to be the very best at what they do. She is hoping to enter the STEM/Engineering field in the future.

Sabrina L is currently a junior at Xavier College Preparatory and hopes to major in computer science in the future. She is part of several STEM related clubs inside and outside of school including Education Leadership Analytics.
She is a youth mentor at Education Empowers (nonprofit), teaching coding for new students this summer, meeting industry mentors and as well as developing leadership and team skills.

Reid Warren is in 7th grade attending ASPIRE Academy.
Reid has participated in FLL for 3 years and has started mentoring virtual robotics over the summer.
He loves to tinker with Rubik's cubes and with electronics parts.

Rhea S has started her STEM journey with LEGO robotics. She is a STEM mentor for boys and girls clubs. She also participates in several STEM programs in Phoenix. She is the president of the STEM club at BASIS Ahwatukee. Rhea is currently a highschool student at BASIS Ahwatukee.

Ethan A is in 9th grader at Hamilton school. He has been in FLL team for last 4 years, participating from Animal Allies to City Shapers. Ethan mentors Chandler Boys & Girls robotics team and helped their team win 'breakthrough award'. He also teaches drones and robotics to community students.

Audrey W. is a junior at Seton Catholic Preparatory High School in Chandler, AZ. She is a volunteer filmmaker for Education Empowers. She documents and showcases Education Empowers events, and promotes their mission through creating short promotional films. She is also very involved in dance and theatre, and plans to major in film in college. Audrey believes in the power of storytelling as a positive force for change, and uses her filmmaking to help others tell their stories.

Mahima is in 10th grade. Currently, she lives in Tokyo, Japan, and attends an international school.

She was part of the 2016 award winning Queen Bees FLL team.

Her favorite thing about robotics and STEM include meeting new people who share the same interest.

During her free time, she likes playing tennis and building cool things.

When she grows up, she wants to become an architect

Raveena is currently a junior at Hamilton High School. She loves volunteering in the STEM field and has taken STEM and coding classes. She has greatly enjoyed being a volunteer for Education Empowers and helping younger kids gain interest and experience in the STEM field. She is planning on continuing into computer science in the future.

Harper is a 8th grader at San Tan Jr high. She has been involved in robotics for about four years now and loves to code. In her free time she likes to play golf, hang out with her sisters, build Legos, hang out with her dogs, and bake. Her favorite part about robotics is getting to spend time with her friends while working together to make a robot. Robotics is something she really loves and she hopes to carry on someday as an engineer or teacher or a professor.

Peninnah Sharon is currently a 10th grader (sophomore) in an international school in Kuwait. She has recently begun to learn and pursue her interest in robotics by conducting small events in her school.  She successfully organized and held the first virtual coding club in Kuwait and plans to do more STEM outreach this year.

Jenna C is a high school student in Tempe, Arizona. She has been in robotics programs for many years. She has been a youth mentor supporting our STEM events and have helped our award winning all-girls teams win Arizona state level First Lego League awards.

Sthuthi, a junior at Hamilton High School, has been a winning  team member of both FLL and Changemaker teams several times. In 2021 she was an intern with Education Empowers showcasing the FLL robotics success stories of various Boys and Girls clubs in the valley. She is always prepared with new and invigorating ways to give back to her community. She serves on the AZ Science Teen advisory board and is a standing member of the National Honor Society. At Hamilton she serves as vice-president of French club, and as member of Link Crew and the Marching Band.

Kevin Matthew S is a 9th-grade student at Velammal Vidyalaya Annexure in Chennai, India. He is passionate about Coding and Biology. He is conducting classes for the students in South India to learn about Virtual Robotics and STEM. He successfully organized and completed the first virtual coding club in South India and plans to organize more programs in the future.
